Sophie, Daddy, Mommy, Nana and Papa go to D I S N E Y!!

Well, I am a little behind on the blog since we got back a week ago and have been catching up on all the things around the house, work, etc. Anyway, I am still smiling from our trip to Disney! It rained on and off every single day (thank you tropical storm Debby) and we still managed to have one of the best trips. I had over 700 photos to go through when I got home and Sophie was smiling in almost every single one! Some of my favorite memories are:

1. When we first left the airport I was carrying Sophie and she saw Nana ahead of us and pushed to get to the ground. She then started running towards Nana screaming “NANA WAIT” and then ran into her arms and laid her head down on Nana’s shoulders. It was such a hallmark moment. I will remember that always (and i’m guessing Nana will too)

2. Papa fell asleep on the couch and Sophie was relentlessly trying to wake him up with her wand, then finally she just jumped on him and snuggled him making some weird high pitch sound that I have never heard before.

3. Catching Nana dancing in Magic Kingdom on video, and watching her ride the motor scooter to papa.

4. Watching Sosi dance her little bum off in front of everyone on the ferry.

5. Looking at a flat walkway and listening to Papa tell me he is walking uphill.

6. Taking Sosi on the merry-go-round over and over and over again. Listening to her scream “GO” at the choo choo train and fall asleep while sitting up on the train in Animal Kingdom.

7. Riding Dumbo and watching Sosi run to pick out which Dumbo she wanted to sit on.

8. Watching Sophie wrestle with Papa, play hide n seek with Nana, and wake up each morning climbing off the bed saying “Nana, Papa” as she headed out the bedroom door.

9. Looking at Sosi’s face when the parade went by and fireworks went off. She was just in awe.

10. On the last night tater tot fell asleep at 8:30pm and then of course woke up at 10pm b/c naturally my daughter will not fall asleep at 8:30pm and stay asleep. Anyway, at 10pm she woke up and just started walking around the room saying “It’s dark in here. It’s dark in here”. As tired as Will and I were, we were just cracking up and chiming in, “It’s dark in here”. This prob. went on for an hour at least.

Below is the album from our trip. I am so glad we all met there and despite the rain, travel issues, and poor aunt Kiki getting some unknown illness and not being able to come, it was an amazing time! Sophie is still watching videos from the trip and will point to the computer and say “nana, papa” (this means turn on a video of me, nana and papa).

Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet, energetic, hilarious, loving and beautiful nugget! XOXO
