Minnie Golf

Note to self: Do not tell a Disney obsessed toddler that she is going to go mini golf.

Sophie had a blast the first 5-6 holes and then spent the rest of the time searching for Minnie golfing. When she didnt see Minnie she got desperate and started searching for Mickey (b/c of course where there is mickey there is minnie). Anyway, i have no idea why it didnt occur to us that the term Mini Golf would translate into Minnie Golf for Sophie. Woops. From now on we are referring to the game as Put Put and that should do the trick.

Here are some blurry pics nonetheless.

It’s Winnnnyy (aka windy)

Here’s a pic from San Jose on a “winnny day” as Sophie would call it. We have been home and settled back into Santa T since Tuesday. Our travels back were smooth and uneventful. We picked up the animal clan and they’re all doing great. Betsy was back at the beach yesterday and went for a nice long walk with me on a beautiful morning while Sophie and daddy played in the ocean. Today our baby pool is finally back in action so Sophie can go nutty in there again. This morning Sophie and I made banana bread which i called Birthday cake the entire time so now she calls it banana cake. She’s already had two pieces (chubbo). That’s about it. All is good. Life is good. Nana is coming in two weeks! Our very first visitor of 2013 :). XOXO

Baby # 2 photos – 13 weeks 1 day

Here you are little angel! 13 weeks and 1 day. You are growing “beautifully” as the dr. stated. Every time he checked something his chosen adjectives were either beautiful, perfect or healthy. What fantastic words to hear!! Keep up the good work. We are so very proud of you. You were a little wiggly thing in there today and you had your hand above your head. We saw your little fingers and they were just precious. Please don’t be like your sister and put your hand over your face for the rest of this pregnancy. The dr.’s educated guess is that you are a little girl in there!! We’ll see…i thought the same thing so we’ll know in 6 weeks if we’re right. Can’t wait! Here are your beautiful, perfect, and healthy portraits :).

San Jose

We’ll we are back in San Jose for our 2nd Dr. appt. Sophie has got this trip down now and was such a little angel to travel with. She was so good yesterday that we drove straight to her bouncy and started to play as soon as we got to SJ. After the bouncy we went to the mall to play in her two favorite toy stores and then came back to finally check into the hotel.

Once we settled in we hopped right back out to her favorite restaurant (Applebees) and Sophie got her famous apple balloon (which she later let go of and the wind blew it into a field where daddy went to retrieve it and save the day and as soon as he got to it the balloon popped- ha!). The waitress said Bye Sophie when we were leaving the restaurant and i said say bye Sophie and Sophie turned around and said “Bye. Thank you for the dinner. Ciao”. Hahahaha!! She is too much lately. The other day we were at the bank in ST and the clerk said Bye Sophie and Sophie turned around and said “Bye. Im going with my daddy”.

Anyway, we wrapped up our day at another park next to Applebees where Sophie climbed up and down a slide and pushed daddy down about 50 times. She then proceeded to climb a picnic table and fell over the bench and under the table so by that point she had finally reached her dirt/bruise quota for the day and we headed back to call it a night.

Today is our appt to check on the little rugrat in the belly an hopefully all is going great. Will update later. I took a pic this morning of my belly b/c it was looking a bit like someone was  camping out in there so i’ll post below. I am now in my 3rd month an finally feeling good!!! AMEN!

It’s a birthday party!!!

Happy Birthday Party Dada!! We love you! What a fantastic day! Pool party, an afternoon swimming at the beach, bit of a nap in the car, dinner, bake a cake, sing the bday song, blow some candles, and finish it with a bowl of ice cream and sparklies…Sophie is a fan of daddy’s bday for sure!

Sophie’s doo doo cleaner

Sophie likes to use these papaya leaves to push Charlie’s doo doo off the patio since the lazy ole pup likes to doo on the patio. Whenever she sees his doo she point up to the tree and says “Momma (or dada) clean it up” and that means get me a leaf and i’ll brush it off.
