Here is the picture of my shoes that died today. I think they lasted at least 5 years, ran 2-3 marathons and went up and down what I call the hill of hell next to our house at least a dozen or so times. They also went to several different states, including Hawaii, and different countries including Nicaragua and Costa Rica. As Forrest Gump said, you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes. Bless the people in the factory that made them, as they protected my feet and helped me travel on a path that aggregated thousands of beloved memories. I hope also that in the path I took while wearing them I also helped enough others and spread enough positivity in the world. Cheers to a new pair and a new path – Rest in Peace!

Swimming in the ocean w/o her nui (floatie)
Beach afternoon
Today at the beach the tide was really low and there were so many dead fish and animals it was a bit sad. I think they got trapped on the beach and didnt make it back in before the tide went down. You my morbid little one had a blast exploring the beach and pointing out all the dead things you found. You spotted a bunch of little fish, a big fish (pic below), and your favorite of the day…a baby nurse shark!!! My camera died so i didnt get a pic but it had a hook in its mouth and looked like someone caught it fishing and then left it since it died from the hook (that is my guess). Anyway, you talked about the BIG SHARP (that’s what you called it) all afternoon and spent about 1/2 hour looking at shark pictures on the internet and telling us how they were big scary sharps. You love scary things like sharks, alligators, spiders…you are so perfectly strange. xoxo
Baby in the belly butt
Sweet little baby in the belly butt you have officially started thumping in there as of 2 nights ago (about 19 weeks). We were laying down to go to sleep and you decided to let me know that you were still awake! It was so amazing to feel you working it out in there and daddy even got to feel some thumps too. Since that night you have been moving each day and i just love stopping to take the moment and connect with you. We all love you and can’t wait to meet you! Your big sis gives you kisses and zerberts (she is a big sis of course) at night and she likes to pat you and say hi baby in the belly butt.
My cravings at 19 weeks seem to be similar to when i was pregnant with ur sis. I am craving cherry tomatoes, pineapple, strawberries, passion fruit, these green things that are called pejote or something and not in season here yet, chinese food from ny, pizza from chicago (which i never liked when we lived there), i’d also settle for a sicilian slice from NY, Peeps (b/c i know they are coming into stores now), kiwis, grapefruits and really anything fruity and juicy.
Things i am not craving…bow tie noodles, pizza from our fave place here that now i can even stomach, any type of meat or smell of it (though this is not surprising), macaroni and cheese, hmmm those are about all i can think of now.
We’ll find out if you are a girl or boy in less than two weeks!! Can’t wait to see you again. Goodnight and we love you!! xoxo
