Well sweets Sabs, here we are…5 months! Whew, that went fast. I love every little roll on your precious chunk butt body! I just want to mush you all day long. Unfortunately you have other plans and you just want to go go go. You are on the move and creeping everywhere. I dont know how you get there, but you get there. You turn 360 on your belly, wiggle backwards and inch worm forward. Dada thinks you’ll be fully crawling by the end of this month…Lord. help. us.

We rang in your 5 month bday with some new foods. You love bananas, pineapple (dada’s doing), and avocado. Today i made you butternut squash and even made a fancier version with coconut milk to spice it up…you gagged. pshhh. See how soon i cook for you again.

Well, they are yelling for me to come get you out of the bath. Be back to finish this up.

And…here we are, next day, 5:30am. This is life with a 5 month old at the moment. Hectic & sleepless, but i worth every bit of it. Oh and yes, you are awake with me now blabbing in your bouncy seat and staring at me with my 5 minute warning (that is being generous). Dada and I were getting up at 5am to beat you girls up and have some quiet time to ourselves, you found this funny, and thought you’d join the party the past week. FML. You like to go to bed by 8pm. Your little internal clock doesn’t keep you up much past that. Meh, now your blabbing turned into yelling. I’ll give this a try again once i change your diaper and find something else you might find entertaining.

You’re on your play mat now with a ridiculous amount of toys plopped in front of you. I think i’ve bought myself 3 more minutes (literally). This would be easier if my coffee was ready and i was thinking/typing at normal speed. Anyway, i digress.

Good lord. You are off your playmat. You are now on the tile. This is an accident waiting to happen. I’ll be back.

2 hours later. You are napping, Pooks is awake. She is eating for the moment so i am going to give this a go again. Here is what you’ve been up to recently:

You giggle and smile all the time. It is unreal. You are the happiest love nut.

You want to see the world when you are awake. You love to walk around in the baby bjorn and just see everything at our height. It took 3 days but you settled for the Baby egro carrier when you are tired and you will let Momma carry you around in that for a bit. If you are wide awake and alert then you want to be facing forward and will not settle. Fair enough.

You are scooting everywhere. We put you down, sneeze, and you are in another corner. You do not like sitting still at all.

You still think your sissy is the funniest thing on the planet though Momma and dada are close runner ups.

You started eating some solids and love drinking water. You didn’t have the sippy cup issue your sissy did. You figured that thing out right away!

Your passport is officially ready so you are all set for your travels.

You sleep pretty crappy crapola right now b/c you have some teefies trying to make their way through. You wake up prob 4 times a night but just want a lil bmilk and head back to sleep. Overall you are handling the teefie sitch much better than your big sissy.

You have started eating dinner at the table with us. I love seeing you at table height and you are excited to be part of dinner time now. Your a good dinner date so far, other than the constant woops my toy fell over there, now i chucked it over here, hold my sippy cup for me, pay attention to me, etc.

You love the pool, bath, and ocean. Yup, another water baby.

You love watching Rusty and Charles and like it when Rusty licks your little tootsie pops and chases Lulu belle around.

You are such a good traveler. I am so proud of you. In the car, on the boat, in the baby carrier, you just rock!

Everyone wants to grab you and squish your chubby little thighs. You make it very difficult to walk through any type of public place.

You had your very first xmas and it was so much fun! Your nana came and surprised you and your sissy.

You just caught your very first cold (from your sissy of course). Your precious baby nose is stuffy and making it hard for you to sleep but you of course are still smiling and giggling all the way through it!

Well i think i have successfully updated your 5 month round up. I don’t think i’ll be proof reading this until later (if ever) so forgive me if there are mistakes throughout. I’m trying to get some new pics off my camera to update that as well and i’m sure by the time i am done – oh woops nevermind…you just woke up!!! BAHHHHHHHHH. I won’t be doing anything. Hahaha. We love you sooooooooooo much sweet sab dab. You are the most precious little baby love on the planet. Time to go snuggle with your little butt. XOXO. Happy 5 month bday!
