Oh sweet sabzy…1 yrs old!! My goodness! What a fast, incredible year it has been. You are undoubtedly a little spitfire. You want to be on the move all the time with your clomping feet and infectious smile. You seriously smile with your eyes and melt the world around you. You are so beautiful, quirky, smart, and stubborn! We call you the little bully b/c you won’t quit until you get whatever it is you want. You love to pick up everything and anything off the floor, and then eat it. You love all animals and have no fear. You started taking steps at 11 months and continue to walk for short spurts on your own but you still ask for a finger when taking a cruise places. You love the water, the sand, the waves, walking around in the baby bjorn with dada, and walking around holding mama’s pointer finger. Every day you take a morning walk and eat a hibiscus flower. You grunt until dada pulls one down for you. You say Mama all day long. You say dada here and there. Your first word was Hola. You love when i say no, no, no and you will wave your chubby little finger at me. You have a devious little smirk that you put on anytime (which is all the time), you are doing something you’re not supposed to be doing. You are still constantly getting called a boy…silly people, yet your personality is so rough and tumble it actually fits a little boy more so than a girl. You are a scruffy little thing. You eat bugs, climb everything, love playing in dirt and rocks, and plow through everything in sight. We call it a Sabatoge when you come and destroy things. On the girly side…you love dancing, dress up, and playing in the bake shop. You let me dress you up in all sorts of funny things and love to show everyone to see their faces. You desperately want your own pair of shoes so for your first bday today we are heading to San Jose and going shopping for your first pair of kicks. We’re going to celebrate a little birthday weekend for you in San Jose and have some fun! I’ll actually get some pics of you with clothes on :). You have 3 top teeth and 4 bottom. You def have some more coming in but i cant get in there to see so we’ll just know when they arrive. You eat everything and love indian and thai curry. You also love drinking coconuts and rice and beans- such a little Tica. On tuesday you tried to leave with the cleaning lady, not sure what to make of that. You give high fives, blow kisses, and also give real kisses. Lately you have been sleeping like crap but you and your sissy had a little virus and you have teefies coming in so i’ll cut you a break for now. The past two nights have been better so hopefully we’ll get a good run for a little bit now. Well you are awake now and we just finished singing your first go of Happy Birthday…you looked at us like we had 3 heads. Now you are playing in the bake shop and throwing things around the living room. You are sure to wake your sissy in no time. Mission accomplished.
