Stockings and some homemade ornaments
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Wow finding a tree here was a 3 day adventure! I guess we were a bit late on the tree buying mission and they hardly had any in the stores. We finally found a Xmas pop up shop that had the perfect tree! It was $60.00, perfect height and the kids loved it. Sophie picked out some new colored ornaments and blue ribbon. We also brought a bunch of handmade ornaments from home which are my favorite on the tree :). We decorated it last night and hung out stockings (which was another mission to find). I’m trying to get a good pic of the tree but the windows let in so much light that it keeps changing my color. I’ll sort it out but here it is in the meantime…Sophie did an amazing job decorating it, while Sabs tried chucking and bouncing all the balls.
A definite sign your child has been raised in the jungle…
Last night Sophie and I went to grab a marshmallow out of our big bag we got at pricesmart (CR version of costco) and just opened that morning. When I went to grab one out it had ants crawling all over it. Instead of being grossed out or screaming, Sophie looked at me and said…can we just dust them off? Bahahahaha! So i did just that. I dusted off some of the bitty ants and she ate it. Jungle kid.
I unfortunately am not as brave as her so I chucked the bag after she ate her mallow and will be buying a new one this week. I will also store it at a higher level inside a container to hopefully keep those pesky lil ants away.
Homemade hot chocolate and marshmallows in the morning – Xmas time!
Out and about in SJ
My little artists
Lil side piggies (her hair was wet in this but we got it nice and fluffy the next day with some dry piggies). Oooh the cuteness!
Bahahaha
Pookie story
I can’t believe I never posted this story:
Will went to pick up Pooks at school and Ashley whispered to him that there was a little bit of a paint incident and don’t mention to her the globs of paint in her hair. He said ok, laughed and carried on. When Pooks got home she asked me if she could shower, I looked at her hair and there was black paint all throughout it. She wore a black dress to school that day (her bat girl dress from Halloween and it was covered in random spots of paint). While she was showering she told me something happened at school today but she didn’t want to talk about it. I was like come on tell me! She said no b/c she was too embarrassed. A minute later, she told me. Then i had ashley confirm the whole story b/c it was so flipping hilarious. Here is what happened…
Ashley had just finished filling an egg carton full of black paint b/c the kids were painting the black sky to make the solar system on top of it. Sophie didnt know she fill the egg crate up with paint and she grabbed said egg crate, turned it upside down and place it on her head. She then looked at Grayden (little boy in her class who we have caught her trying to impress before) and said “Hey Grayden, like my hat”. A second later she realized she was covered, and i mean covered, in black paint. This is the point in the story where i busted out laughing and Sophie refused to tell me the rest…so i message ashley to find out.
Ashley said it looked like something out of a horror film. Sophie was wearing her fancy black dress and had black paint dripping down all over her face and body. She said Sophie was standing there in complete shock. Bahahahahahahha. Ashley tried her best too get it all off of her. When she came home she had it in her eyebrows, all over her hair, and random spots throughout her dress.
She is still a bit sensitive about the story but just recently (about 2 weeks later) decided it was actually quite funny and she will bring it up to remind me so that i crack up. Ooooh how i wish i was a fly on that wall. Ashley said she was dying to take a photo but Sophie was so mortified she couldn’t. This is prob my favorite story lately. A close runner up is when Sophie and i were watching a movie recently and she got so excited she jumped up from the bed while simultaneously ripping a loud fart. She keeps reminding me of this one to detract from the paint one. I think the paint one actually topped the fart and I wasn’t even there for it. Love that little Pooks!!!
