A day in the mountains

We drove two hours to a volcano that we haven’t been to yet. The drive was so pretty and we went to a national monument and had a little picnic together. We didn’t go close to the volcano because it was active this past year but we had such a fun day in the park and the beautiful town. On the way home we stopped at a pizza restaurant in a town called Cartago. Super good times.

Big, enormous congratulations to our DADA and my rocking hubby!

Last night he secured a big time promotion and raise from his job. He has been kicking ass and killing it. He told them what he wanted and he got that and plus some! So super impressed with this guy. He is just incredible. Seriously one of the most determined, intelligent, and genuine people I know and working on some super cool cutting edge technology from the middle of the jungle. Crazy awesome stuff. Go Dada go!!!

Important to note that all through this journey he is so very humble and always reiterating to me how proud he is of me and all that i do and how thankful he is. Also, always putting us first and not sacrificing his time with his family. Really truly one of a kind this guy!

PF Chang juice

The other day we went out for lunch at PF Changs. Will can’t stand the smell of asian food for the most part and if it is heavy on garlic or onion it is even worse. We ended up having a bunch of leftovers (smelling like onion and garlic and all that asian goodness) and I told him to get it wrapped up and we will bring home while i headed outside with antsy girls. So he did.

We went into a few stores after and he started complaining about the smell coming from the bag he was carrying. I went over to the desk at a clothing store and asked them to staple it closed (for the lil sissy). Will asked me if he could just chuck the left overs (we were walking home after this for about 1/2 hour walk). I said no b/c i will eat it later. He agreed.

Next we go to the grocery store and get a few things before we head home (Will still carrying bag of asian food). He buys his favorite chocolate bar and we all go to sit outside on the curb to eat it.

A minute later Will looks at me and says “what is wet all on my foot and pants?”. I look down…it is PF Chang juice all over his Tom’s cloth shoes and bottom of his jeans. Bahahahaha. Needless to say he chucked my leftovers.

I spent the entire 1/2 hour walk back debating on whether or not PF Chang juice comes out of cloth and discussing how vile PF Chang juice is. Guess he got me back.

It does come out of cloth. Thank the heavens. I have a feeling that was our last meal at PF Changs.

A day at the Museo De Los Ninos (Children’s museum)

First  a little snack before we head off

One Uber ride later and they are headed in to a day of fun!

Getting to work in their pretend kitchen

Sabi and I enjoying our homemade dinner courtesy of Pooks

Off to check out the spiders, sea creatures and dinosaurs

Then on to some dental hygiene

Next to kids neighborhood and the kids food store. They give a list when you get there and some pretend money. The kids have to find everything on their list and then they checkout with their pretend money. After that they have to go and put back all their groceries. Too cute. The kiddos always love this.

Sophie had a can of tuna on her list. She looked at me and said “I’m not happy about this one” and pointed to the tuna- haha. Of course she had to tell the checkout man again about how she was not happy about the tuna because she is vegetarian.

When it was Sabs turn to check out she handed him every single item like this. She wouldn’t make eye contact and had her back to him but smiled the whole time. So hilarious.

After this we went to a playground outside, then to climbed on an airplane. Also not pictured was the space station, the earthquake station (where we got to stand on a platform that simulated a powerful earthquake, the library room, puppet station, old school bus, train, oh so many things! Here is the house of illusions

While Sophie and Will went into another house of illusions display, Sabs and I went in search of a bottle of water. She found this instead. Sidetracked us for about 25 minutes.

That’s a wrap. Sleepy Sabsy. We called an Uber and all went out to a really yummy dinner at a place called Saga. Then we took Sophie back to her clothing store so she could purchase her favorite white skirt in another color 🙂
