Heading back to San Jose!

Well we are finally heading back to SJ, and I think it is just in time because while sitting at the airport Sophie looked at me and said, “Momma, I want to learn about Nikki Minaj when i get home.” Ummm, ok time to head back to the jungle. Hahaha.

We had a fantastic trip visiting family and the girls just loved playing with all their baby cousins. They are so amazing with the little ones that it almost makes me want to have another…almost.

They made us so proud the whole trip as usual. From long driving travels on the way to and from SJ, plane rides, airport delays, etc., they were the absolute best. In fact we had to board and then deboard (if thats a word) a plane in Little Rock, and then wait over 2 hours, and they handled it better than the teenagers behind us.They were such champs that the mom of the teenagers came over, complimented them, and asked them if they liked chocolate. Of course they said yes, and she went to the store and bought them M&Ms!

Really, i know i say this all the time but it is so true, we are the luckiest parents. These two girls are just incredible and such a pleasure to travel with. It makes traveling even more fun. Sabi is easy peasy on the plane now and obviously Sophie has been for a couple of years. I am so thankful to have such kind, friendly, healthy, smart, and beautiful little girls. Whew they make a momma and dada proud!

We ended up spending two nights in SJ and all came home with a bit of a cold. Thankfully it waited until the trip and travels were done to kick in and it was pretty short lived. We still managed to go out to eat, buy some new bikes and walk around the city. Also to note…Sophie tried her first Samosa at and indian restaurant and liked it!! She is really getting adventurous with her eating lately- so awesome!

Man, it is good to be back in CR! As soon as we landed the calmness swept over. The beautiful mountains, the breeze, the tropical sun, the people, the food…all feels like home (and we aren’t even back in the jungle).

The hotel had a cool tent set up for the girls and two barbie dolls inside to surprise them. We cheated on our usual hotel on the way to the states and stayed at a new one but on the way back we went to our usual Aloft (or as sophie calls it and i wont correct her b/c i love it- the OLAF hotel). The girls know that hotel inside and out b/c we have stayed there so much. The staff knows them by name so it is just precious. Also, there is a Mcdonalds across the street with a big play center so that never disappoints. We didnt want to stay there on the way out b/c for some reason we usually end up getting stuffy noses there and i think it is b/c they have these huge windows but you can’t open them (like in most big hotel chains). Anyway, we all had stuffy noses when we left but Sophie started on the plane a bit and i’m pretty sure we showed up with the stuffiness this time around.

On to some pics
