Yesterday Sophie and Sabs met up with some awesome kids and Ash for an afternoon of funnnn! Sophie went out first on the kayak with Ash and Martin and they caught some barracuda. She absolutely loved it! Ash said she was hilarious out on the kayak and i kind of wish i had video of the conversations out in the ocean. Here are some pics 🙂

Thanksgiving 2016
We built the driftwood tree, decorated it, ate some yummy food, drank some beer, played some wall ball, candyland, Jenga, and all just hung out. The hurricane didnt end up affecting us over here but it brought with it a cooler fall-like day which added to the Thanksgiving feel. Thanksgiving 2016 was a beautiful reflection of the year 2016 which gave us so much to be thankful for!
We were all so happy to spend the day with one of our favorite people in the world- Ash. Sophie made everyone “love” cards and was so excited to give them out. Later in the day Jess and Josue stopped by for some cake and a beer. We all were in bed with full bellies by 7pm…could be a record.
Vegetarian BBQ sandwich!
corn casserole
candied carrots
Twice baked potatoes (sophie ate 8!)
not pictured broccoli…bc it was just broccoli. Sophie’s Grateful Tree she made at school.
The most delicious chocolate cake made by girls and Ash.

The beginnings of our Xmas tree!
Yesterday we went out collecting the driftwood for our Xmas tree. The girls went off searching for sea creatures and exploring in the tidepools together. They came back with a bunch of shells, crab and a starfish. Now we have the wood unloaded outside and it is ready to be bleached (kill all the bugs). Then we construct and decorate this week! On Saturday i put up some lights around the house. It’s beginning to look a lot like Xmas! Sabi keeps asking if “santa is ready”.
Yesterday they started making their xmas lists and i swear sophie is just the kindest human i know. She got three items down and then whispered in my ear that she wanted to put something on her list for Sabi. She was so excited about it that her hands were geeking out and she has not stopped mentioning it since. It is seriously all the mentions off her list and she keeps saying she cant wait to give it to Sabs and how will she know which one is the one to give to her and can i make sure to pull it aside- ugh the sweetest. Sabi on the other hand rattled off all her barbie dreams. Rattled off in the cutest little voice with the most adorable little expressions so Santa needs to make sure he checks off every single one this year! She announced she wants the barbie dreamhouse (a ginormous barbie dollhouse) to which Sophie (in her sweet, no waste nature) responded that they already have a dollhouse and they dont need one…which of course made Sabi want it more. Hoping Sabs changes her mind so my living room can be spared this monstrosity but guessing no.
On to some pics. This xmas tree is really confusing Sabs. We didnt make one last year so she was around 2 yrs old the last time we made one (we didnt do one last year) so she can’t quite wrap her head around how this wood is going to be a xmas tree. She’ll see this week 😉
Sabs pissed off about something or other but insisting to be in photo.

Sabsy and her favorite thing in the world…Barbies!
I had tears in my eyes laughing from hearing her little voice knowing all of barbie’s friends names. She has a barbie filled xmas list this year that doesnt have one thing on it not barbie related. I cant wait!!! Ohhh her little voice and the name midge melts me.
