Ok lil Toobie, I am going to try and squeeze an update in while you are taking a nap. Actually, it feels like some sorta miracle b/c your sissies are downstairs playing with Jadyel, you are napping next to me, Dada is getting some work done, and here I am in the a/c, on the bed, total silence with a glass of wine. Yassssssss! Away we go because you and I both know this isn’t going to last long.

So you are 13…almost 14 months and you are now a little person. You have so many words lately and love to vocalize them all. You say dog-dog, wa-wa (which is code for anything you want it to be at that moment), Byeeeee (which is code for you are done with where you are, you are ready for bed, or you want out of the house), Ball, Dada, Momma, Meow (cat), Hiiiiii (obvi your favorite word), Bug (which means bug or that you want to play a bug game on sissy’s ipad), Mmmmmm (which means you approve of the food in your mouth) and Bah- which means you want us to look at something you have spotted and usually it is said in 3’s like “bah bah bah”.

You can’t handle the heat. Your head constantly looks like you went underwater the entire day in CR. You never want to stay in the house (prob bc it is so hot) and you are always yelling Byeeeee, Wa Wa, byeeee which means put me in the damn carrier and start walking. YOu even hand us the baby carrier as if we didnt know what you wanted. No child, we know…but it is 90 degrees and you are prob pushing about 20 lbs or so. We actually need to weigh you b/c we have no idea what you weigh right now so i’ll post that once we take you to the vet here in town. Yup, putting your little hiney on the doggie scale.

You have proven to be a top notch traveler and I actually think you enjoy planes b/c you like to say Hiii to all the people and look around. You started not screaming your head off in the car seat since we’ve been back so we get about a solid 10 minutes of quiet which was more than we got before. We found an etch a sketch which seems to entertain you at the moment.

You loooove the ocean and want to just crawl straight under water. Yup i said crawl b/c you, my friend, have decided walking is overrated and you prefer to crawl or better yet, get carried all over the place. Recently you started lifting your knees up when you’re crawling so im not sure if you’re one step closer to being fed up on all 4’s or if the hard CR ground is annoying your lil baby knees since you’re always in just a diaper. You enjoy standing and not holding on to anything when you know we are all watching so you get the proper applause. If we dont notice your fancy move you make sure to let us all know you are doing it so it doesnt go unnoticed.

You still eat everything and are so easy to please with food. You have 5 teeth total (3 top and 2 bottom) and im really hoping the 4th top is coming in any day now b/c you are quite clingy and unpredictable the past couple of days. Today you were much happier so hopefully we’re over the hump…until the next tooth.

Tomorrow we’re going to go get you a baby pool so you can splash your little heart out without us having to take you all over the place in the middle of the daytime heat. You better like it because it is 1000 degrees outside.

You love reading books. We read books all the time and you memorize all the little moves i teach you with the books. Your favorites at the moment are Elmo Says, THats not my monster, Go away Big Green Monster, 8 little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, and your animal touch and feel book.

You loooooove animals! You are so sweet with all our pets, and we rescued a little bird the other day that you just wanted to pet over and over, and your sisters found a baby puffer fish that you would’ve held all day, and they bring you sea slugs that you love petting, really any animal you just want to hug and kiss and hold. Sadly Lulu didnt feel the same way the other morning and she went all feral on your little head as you were hugging her but you were fine and clearly don’t hold any grudges b/c the next day you were going in to give her the same hugs.

Oh sweet Too you are just perfection! We love you so much you little squish ball. You’re sleeping better now aside from some random nights but i’ll take it. You are just the most precious little love. You are so smart and i think you have an old soul in the little smooshie body of yours. You are constantly watching and taking everything in and i can see your sweet wheels turning as you think about it all.
