We arrived in Morocco and Sabi was a bit off…turned out later that day she had fever, stuffy/runny nose, and headache. We took it easy and just went to grab some dinner and came home early. The girls and I were passed out by 7pm i think and slept through until 930am today. Sabi got up around 10 something and luckily is so much better than yesterday! Thank goodness b/c tomorrow we are supposed to be heading off for our camping adventure. We almost thought we were going to have to cancel but as of now if she stays as is and continues on the up and up as the day goes on, it will be looking good.
We’re going to take it easy and just walk around a little later this afternoon. Dada has a headache too and is still feeling jet lag. Sophie and I seem to be pulling strong still and hopefully will stay this way! Sophie was a mega champ yesterday on 2 hours sleep. She def gets the award for toughing it out!
At least the downtime gave me a bit to catch up here and work on a few other things! Hoping everyone starts feeling 100% this week and this jet lag disappears for good!
On our walk yesterday they started playing the prayer over speakers in the town. Watching their little faces was priceless. Morocco is full of cats – Sabi’s dream, Will’s nightmare. Sophie seems to love Morocco so far and is so into all the old world charm and learning about the language, etc. Sabi says she is not a fan of “the food from this world” and at first was not impressed by our amazing riad (house) which is actually super cool but she was concerned it didn’t have electricity…it does. She has since then settled in and is only complaining about the food. Her croissant didnt have enough chocolate in it this morning and her pancakes (crepes) were served with jam instead of syrup, oh and her orange juice “had hairs in it” (pulp)…Sabi problems.
Oh and we have i guess what you’d call a butler who did our laundry and cooks, etc. Sabi is not a fan of having someone in the house and keeps asking when he’s going to leave. Hahaha. He happens to be so sweet and Sophie really likes chatting with him b/c he does little tricks for her and is trying to teach her some french. He doesnt speak any english, or spanish…so it is french or arabic (apparently i spelled that wrong). We have an entire house that has 3 floors. It is so beautiful. I’ll walk around and take some pics today b/c yesterday i was too exhausted.
