Ahhh, back in the CR sun and SJ always looks prettier when we get home from a holiday. It is good to have a familiar CR breakfast with gallo pinto, queso fresco and some good ole CR bananas. Everyone chowed, soaked in some warmer weather, the girls jumped in the pool (which they never do b/c usually we think SJ is too cold) and Dada picked up good ole Gerty from the mechanic. When i got into Gerty i had the pleasure of finding months old puke chunk left by Toobie before we headed out. We totally forgot that as we were leaving CR the girls had a lovely stomach bug and were hurling all over the place. This has not been our healthiest year- FML. Anyway, puke chunk cleaned, everyone finally done coughing, and Gerty flashed her pretty little “check engine” light after being at the mechanic for months. Welcome back to CR – hahaha. Thankfully it was a small issue that doesnt need to be fixed at moment so we headed back to the jungle and will deal with it later.

We were early for the ferry, bought our tickets online, had time to stop for breakfast and Toobie was easy peasy along the way. Even we were mega impressed with ourselves. The ferry line was wrapped around the corner and it was full so we just cruised on in, smiling, with our prebooked online tickets. Looks like CPH has knocked us off Tico time a bit. We’ll see how long it lasts but for now pat, pat on the back!
