Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well today was Sophie’s 2nd Thanksgiving, and although very different from her first, it was a perfect day. We made a little Thanksgiving crown, went out to lunch at Mario’s Steakhouse, stopped by her favorite bakery for some sweet treats, and then ordered her favorite pizza for dinner. She absolutely loves the Margarita pizza from Bocaditos. Our daughter is such a little weirdo…her fave dessert is some almond sticky bun thing, and her favorite pizza has large tomato slices and basil leaves all over it. She is def. a gourmet baby. At Mario’s we found a dart board in the bar area and Sosi wanted to sit on daddy’s shoulders and watch us play darts. She was concentrating very hard to make sure daddy aimed correctly…again…weirdo baby. All in all, we had an amazing day. We missed all the rest of the families, and the stuffing, and all the yummy traditional TG dishes, but for a Costa Rican thanksgiving- we did it just right. Besides, if we tried to cook any of our traditional dishes here I prob. would have gone mad. Yup, still can’t find chicken broth, vegetable broth, or any broth for that matter. The hunt is still on. We currently have bouillon cubes in the kitchen but I can’t bring myself to make broth from them just yet…i’m still holding out hope for a can of College Inn, Swanson, anything! Pics from the day are below.
