Toobie and Sabs around the house and Momma finally made a healthy french fry that passed the Sabi test!
New goggles for Floorball and Roo standing on the couch (the only place she wants to stand)
We did it! We finished the book “Holes” and finally got to watch the movie!!
Sabi said this book was better than Witches! We finally finished a book that we thought was better than Witches! Like always we celebrated by watching the movie and going to the store picking out 4-5 different treats that we have never tried and don’t know what they are.
The movie took us 2 days to watch so the first day Dada and Sabsy went to the store to pick out treats. Sabsy thought Dada led her in the wrong direction and she wasn’t satisfied with her treat variety so the 2nd day Momma hit up the store and other than a chocolate munchkin thing that may or may not have had alcohol in it, we nailed it. The donut was the big hit and obviously the movie was the biggest hit of all! Now to find our next book.
Happy 38th birthday Dada!!! The greatest there is, we love you so!
We had a great day celebrating Dada! We made a vegan “chicken” and dumplings soup, a coconut cream pie, and brownies (in case our coconut cream pie failed). The girls and i decorated the house while Dada’s was sleeping and they made him 2 paintings, cards and a big Dada collage. We all hung out, played baci ball, watched a movie of Dada’s choice and basically lumped around the house together. The food was super yummy and we had a fun, family filled bday. We love you Dada!!!
Homemade hot chocolate with our snowman (sabi made the face).

Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020 (NYE and New Years Day)
Well this was one of the craziest NYE we have ever seen. Fireworks had been going off since Xmas and then NYE it just went OFF. Our neighbors invited us down to see their son in law do some fireworks and then it seems like every single person in Copenhagen went out and shot fireworks. Dada bought a few when we went to a show a few days before and the girls did their first fireworks (before all the fireworks started) and Im sure their last since Sophie has just now (on Jan 8th) gotten over the fear of being exploded by firework.
Her fears stemmed from the fact that an apt in our complex that we pass each time we walk out the door went up in flames from someone shooting a firework inbtwn the buildings. Yes, evacuation happened, 3 floors burned (though only the first floor is uninhabitable i think) and we slept through it all BECAUSE there were so many other explosions going off in the sky that we didn’t even hear it! We all made it up to midnight except Sabs who slept through the real show. It all didnt stop until maybe 1am. So strange in the quietest country we have ever been to, with the most proper and quiet culture that on NYE they all seem to go buck.
Luckily the family that lives in the apt that went up in flames were out of town so no one was hurt. What an insane NYE and def one we won’t forget. The girls drank their first non alcoholic champagne, shot their first fireworks, held their first sparklers, we made pizzas, watched a movie, saw the most incredible fireworks show right out our window all night, and then rang in the new year the next day with Dada’s black eyed peas. We went for a walk around the neighborhood and it looked like there was a war the night before. Boxes, glasses, firework remnants, shoes, and random trash was all over the town. Im not sure where it all went or who cleaned it up but I haven’t seen it the past few days so someone did.
Happy 2020, hopefully it is as amazing as 2019 was and with these peeps by my side im sure it will be! Maybe i’ll get some sleep again in this year…maybe.
