Oh man life is so random and hilarious sometimes. We were the very first customers to receive fiber optic internet in town so they invited us to attend a private event with the President. I was soaking it all in and laughing inside how we ended up there.
It was nothing like meeting the president in the US. There was security everywhere but no one checked us, asked us to remove our cellphones or any of that. The president walked right in with sweat down his back and wearing a polo tee and sunglasses.
I told Will that it kind of felt like when you’re at Disney World and Micky Mouse comes and everyone wants to take a picture with him and touch him. hahaha. He was super laid back and the event had maybe 40 people total so everything was really laid back and casual. He joked that our town will now have the fastest internet with the worst roads. Oh how backwards it all is.
Will found the two pics below on the Kolbi website that posted pics from the event 🙂
and here we are before the man arrived 🙂
Yesterday the girls and I walked to Alta Plaza when the sun finally came out. It was out for about 1/2 hour and then started raining on us. This was of course Sophie’s favorite part and she ran out dancing in the rain and singing and then we all found a little shelter under the slide and froze our bums off for a bit.
The girls were mesmerized by the fact that their breath was making smoke. We stayed outside huddled together making smoke and pretending we were dragons. It was so cute to watch them so amazed by this “cold” phenomenon. Sophie couldnt feel her fingers (in 50 degree weather) and just kept talking about all the things that were happening from the cold.
Today the sun is shining and rain is no were in sight so we are heading to a museum, playground and carousel! Time to hit the streets 🙂
And then the rain came…
