Happy 35th Birthday Dada!!! We love you!!

Yay, Dada and I are only 2 years apart now- wohooo…for about 2 weeks. He celebrated his bday by opening a business bank account here in CR and then out for a yummy lunch, playground time, home for cake and a movie :).

Dada i am so extremely proud of all that you have accomplished this past year. I know i say it every year, and really every year it is true so that says a lot about you. You are the worlds greatest father, husband, person, friend. I love you so much and feel so thankful to have you by my side through this amazing journey of life. What a killer year this was and cheers to many more! You are AWESOME!

Last day of 2016!!

We ended the year with a bang! Loads of fun with the arcade, bouncy house and painting in the mall. We got home about 6pm and I made broccoli soup for the kiddos and sweet potatoes, veggie stuff peppers, avocado/jalapeno salad for us. It was all super yum and we were in bed by 9pm watching Batman. Everyone conked out by 10:30pm and that was NYE in these parts ;). I woke up around 11:00 from fireworks and everyone was snoring right through them (thankfully). Cheers to 2017! Feeling thankful for this past year, blessed for a new year and just forever grateful for everything.

Another one bites the dust…tooth #4!

This morning while chomping on a peanut butter apple, Pooks lost another tooth (again on the bottom thankfully, still not ready to see those top teeth go). We didn’t even think this one was so wiggly so she was completely shocked when her tooth was stuck in a mound of PB on her apple and not in her mouth. She quickly got to writing her card for the Tooth Fairy and Momma and Dada quickly got to the Tooth Fairy store to pick out a surprise for under the pillow. This time she brought mini xmas cupcakes and of course a little love note for Pooks :).

Christmas Magic 2016

Feliz Navidad a todos! What a killer Christmas we had this year. Today Sophie woke up telling me she had that “after christmas feeling” and asking if i ever had that. Yes little one, we all know that “after christmas feeling” as a kid. I kind of got it this year as an adult and i just want to do it all over again to see your little faces Christmas morning.

This year the girls still believe in Santa and all the magic that surrounds him so we get to relive that innocence and i am so thankful. We tracked Santa on my phone and the girls fell asleep while he was in Canada. It was tricky keeping it all hidden this year but we did it! Presents were wrapped and carefully stashed in secret places all over the house. It was a Barbie filled Christmas and the girls haven’t stopped playing since.

We had to force them to leave the house yesterday and get some sunshine because they just didnt want to stop playing. We ended up walking to a park that we love in the neighborhood and Sabs fell asleep the whole time. About 10 minutes after getting there the skies opened up and it dumped buckets on us. We hid under the swing set while sophie went to dance in the rain. The river next to us started to roar with a flash flood and as soon as the rain lightened up we made a run for it. Sophie said it was “epic” and Will said it was one of his favorite times since getting to the city. Yup, jungle heads. Rain, rivers, mud and tree climbing.

So grateful for this Xmas and this beautiful life we are able to live together. Grateful for the sparkly little eyes that wake up each morning with love and happiness. Grateful for the snuggles, wonder, magic and laughter that these two bring each day. Merry Xmas, Feliz Navidad!! Videos to come
