Move over Max…Sophie has a new boyfriend

Cruz and Karisma used to live here and moved back to the states 1 1/2 years ago. They are here now for 2 months with their dad and they have joined sophie and sabi on Wed and Fridays. After only meeting once, Sophie and Cruz hit it off and she came home professing her new love and that she might need to break up with max. Since then she has wavered between having two boyfriends or breaking up with Max. Yesterday she saw this photo Ashley sent from her tutoring session with Cruz and she shouted that she def needs to break up with Max. This morning she said she’s not sure again, she may have two boyfriends. Oh the problems of a 6 year old…and how does she even know about all this? Can’t they just be her friends?! So not prepared for teenage years.

Karisma made one for Sabi rae

Nothing like sissies

These two have been playing together so much lately. The games they come up with are hilarious and the bond they have is unbreakable. Sabi can be a ball buster but she truly idolizes her big sis and Sophie may get annoying at all the “copying” but adores and takes care of Sabs like no other.

Recently Sabi started calling Sophie “Sophie” from hearing Ash say it and Sophie is not having any of that. She stops her right aways and says “Sabi i’m not Sophie to you. Im sissy. Call me sissy”. So of course Sabi (being sabi) says “Ok Sophie”. Hahahaha, sisterhood. Anyway, it melts my heart that Sophie wants Sabi to only call her sissy, and truly if Sabi isnt trying to piss her off or thinking about it, she does say Sissy b/c that is her big sissy. Her idol.

WIll and i saw this washed up a couple of weeks ago. The girls saw it yesterday. I’m pretty sure this looks ancient to them. Someone built a little stand for it with sticks and it has been sitting there ever since (i dont have a pic from yesterday).

Dada’s new vodka sauce tradition!

Last weekend Dada decided to cook and make an activity of it with the girls. Lucky Momma!! Anyway, his vodka sauce was such a hit that they insisted on it again this week and begged for it on Saturday instead of Sunday. He kind of opened big with this one so he is having trouble convincing them to make anything else (he tried all week to pitch a fried rice). What did i do you ask…oh sipped on wine, dilly dallied on the computer, listened to the little voices all excited b/c they are opening garlic. If they want vodka sauce each week, im eating vodka sauce each week! Oh and there were leftovers which they then ate for breakfast and lunch the next day. Yes, i am hopping on this bandwagon fast!

Sophie and Ashley’s craft from trash they collected at the beach

Also check out this box of goodies that Ashley surprised us with!! A family in town is moving out of the country and they messaged Ashley asking if she wanted first dibs at their daughter’s books and things that they weren’t going to take with them. Ashley went over there and collected about 4 boxes full of goodies! This is just one of them. We have been discovering new books each day. This is like gold here in the jungle. Big thanks to the family for giving these to Ashley and huge thanks to Ashley for going over to their house and sorting through all their things to find these gems for the girls. It Christmas in June :).

Happy Dada’s Day 2016

Wohoo- another Dada’s Day for the most deserving Dada in the entire universe! We tell him all the time (and even then it isn’t enough) but wow o wow did we hit the Dada jackpot! We honestly have the most caring, funny, hard working, sincere, loving, and attentive dada around. We get to celebrate him each day (all day) thanks to his constant presence and the effort he makes to take care of and be with his family at the same time. His adventurous spirit and loving heart are beyond compare. Dada you truly are one of a kind. You are one of the best kind. I am so extremely proud of you and you still amaze me each and every day. You are brilliant.

So to celebrate you today, we did what we do most every other day :). We made a yummy breakfast, you got some homemade cards, you went boogie boarding in the morning, we went to the beach in the afternoon (where you boogie boarded with the girls and borrowed Ashley’s surf board to try out some surf), we bumped into our favorite person in town (ashy) who also boogie boarded with the girls and chatted with momma while u surfed, I cooked a yummy dinner and we hung out as a family before bed. How incredible that this is not out of the ordinary.

The only extra treats were that the girls actually allowed you to nap in the afternoon and you got a handful of special Dada crafts :).
WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Oh and lucky Sabi caught both a bob and a frog on your day. Lucky day indeed.
