Tickle Rain

Whenever it rains Sophie runs up to Will and yells “Dada come on, Tickle Rain, diaper on, tickle rain”…translation: Get up, take my diaper off, and let’s go dance in the rain. Of course daddy  follows these orders promptly. Here are some pics from this morning 🙂

Cousins!!

What an amazing day! All the cousins finally met and watching them play together was just incredible. Looking at these pictures just makes my heart melt. Sophie absolutely loved her cousins and we will have to make sure to see them again soon. XOXO

Sophie and Mason’s first date!

It was so fun to hang with one of my oldest friends and watch our little nuggets play. I felt old and proud at the same time. Sophie seems to have a thing for younger men just like her momma. Here are some pics from her afternoon with Mason who is turning 1! She loved taking his toys and then telling him “thank you much”, feeding him his bottle, crawling on the floor with him, petting his head like an animal, and tickling his belly with her one finger. Oh and of course telling mommy everything the baby was doing…”Mommy look baby eating”, etc. Little Mason just let Sophie do it all and was full of precious little smiles. Ooooh im going to miss him and his amazing parents of course!

Sophie takes Manhattan!

Today was Sophie’s first time visiting the NYC. We took the 7:12am train from Huntington and arrived in NYC around 8:40am; Sophie and I headed over to BaBa’s apartment and Daddy went to a meeting. Once Baba opened the door, Sophie fell asleep and slept our entire visit! Unfortunately Baba didnt get to play with Sophie but we got to catch up and eat some breakfast in peace.

After breakfast he dropped us off at Central Park and Sophie woke up while we were waiting for Kiki (formerly known as BeBe Monka) to come meet us. The three of us headed into the Central Park Zoo and Sophie had a blast. She wanted Kiki to go everywhere with her and carry her all around. Fantastic for me, maybe not so much for Kiki’s arms but we all had a great time. We finished it off with some smoothies and a cookie and then headed off to meet up with Nana for some lunch.

Lunch was yummy and relaxing and Sophie switched from Kiki’s lap to Nana’s lap to finally her own highchair. We all ate and Daddy came to meet us- hooray! Where to go after a nice balanced lunch…Dylan’s Candy Bar of course! Sophie landed herself a big fat vanilla ice cream cone (naturally).

The day was wrapped up at FAO Schwarz where Sophie fake slept on some stuffed puppies, played with trains, and was boderline meltdown when she found out she couldnt strip naked and jump in the fountain outside. Luckily we left the city meltdown free and she slept the whole train ride home.

It was a fun filled, jam packed day of busy NYCness. Lil tater was a trooper and loved hanging with her Nana and Kiki. Below are some pics. Obvi full NYC album will follow when we return to Santa T!

Watch out NY…Sophie has arrived!!

Well we got in late Saturday night and are still about 3 hours behind schedule on Monday. Sophie just woke up at 12pm today and hopefully we’ll get back on schedule.

Yesterday she got to play with Papa and Kiki and after her usual “pretend sleep initiation” she was all over the two of them and putting on her Sophie show. She cried when Papa left and then fell asleep on Kiki. After she woke up she met Laura and Rob and put on her show all over again. She fed them cookies from her mouth and ran up and hugged both of them over and over. She is such a little lovebug.

Today we are all still in bed at 1:30pm and Sophie and I are battling a bit of a cold. Hopefully this rest does us all well and we’ll be ready to take on NY tomorrow in full force! We have movies, pizza and ice cream with Papa on the agenda!

9/6/2012 a monumental day

Sophie is now 2 years and 3 months and today was the first day in her entire life that her daddy and mommy both went out and left her with someone. I know, crazy. Considering that someone was Nana, she didnt even seem to notice we were gone. We only went to walk a few blocks to pick up dinner but it was still monumental for our family. We came back and she didnt even flinch…in fact i dont even know if she lifted her head. Nugget was busy watching Toy Story 3 in bed with Nana. We got to take a walk without grabbing little hands, chasing little feet, or carrying a little body. It was short, sweet and like i said, a monumental day. Sooo Nana…you free next weekend? lol.
