Finally our hunt for ducks or (any bird that will eat bread) has ended. We took our 3 trip out to the burbs and this time it was a success! We pulled over, whipped out the bread, and Sosi’s first bird feeding experience took place. She was pointing and saying Da-Da-Da while she watched them eat the bread. All worth it.

We took a trip to Schiller park and Sophie explored a bit and had some fun. Still no ducks so the search continues. Some pics below from the day. It was hot, hot, hot.

Today we decided to drive out to the burbs and check out a Forest Preserve that sounded fun. We obviously forgot that we had record downpour this past week and well, maybe not the best time to go. Then we debated on going to the Zoo and got as far as the parking lot when we realized that they were only open for 1 more hour and parking alone was 9.00 – nevermind entrance fees. Oh and this whole day stemmed from a search to find ducks. We drove around the entire day with a pack of hamburger buns the car. Good thing there is Sunday. Here are some pics though most of the day was spent in the car. We figured we owed Sosi big time so we wrapped up the day with a big fat soft-serve ice cream cone for the nugget! She didn’t seem to mind- lol.

Tonight we picked up some Chipotle and had a fun little picnic on the blvd. Soph chowed down on guac, black beans, cheese, rice, tomatoes, sour cream, and the best part is…NO HIGHCHAIR TO CLEAN!
