Friday Night Fun Part 1
Just two girls hanging out
Little Suds head
Iggs loves bath time. She has all these fun toys that her daddy takes out for her every night, yet her favorite toy is the empty Aveeno bottle, her wet washcloth, and the faucet that she now knows how to turn on and off…oh iggs…only iggs. Here she is looking sudsy iggtastic and turning on the faucet.
Iggs heading out for her first stroller walk in 2011
It was finally not freezing so we all headed out for a walk today. We should have thought it through more considering Chicago had a massive blizzard a week ago and it is now above freezing (aka melted dirty city slush everywhere). Our walk only last about 3 blocks before Charles was black, Betsy was a muddy mess, the stroller wheels were full of muddy slush, and everyone needed a shower. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Happy Valentine’s to my favorite luvbugs!
Iggs on the plane – very busy.
Iggy goes to Costa Rica (again)
We had the most amazing vacation yet. Little iggs was a celebrity everywhere we went. All you heard when she passed by was “Hola Sophia, Hola Sophia”. She even got a compliment from a guy Will’s age who said, “Dude, you have an awesome baby”. She was smiling, giggling, yapping, and bouncing away the entire trip. I can go on all day about how insanely awesome our daughter is, but the album below speaks for itself. She was a pro traveler on all the plane rides, and had a few firsts to note:
1. Tried papaya and loved it.
2. Ate fruit from a restaurant for the first time.
3. Went swimming in the pool.
4. Sat in the sand and played with it in her hands.
5. Played with her very first friend and was petting her leg.
6. Waved hello
7. Turned 8 months old.
There were way too many pictures to post so full album is below (you can click on it to make it larger). We miss it already. Love you Sophie!
Just a few notes
Today you were very busy little iggy. You were hustling and bustling all over the place! You went from a sitting position to all fours and it looks like you are about to crawl. I was putting away your clothes and you pulled yourself up on the side of your crib and peeked over at me. I can’t believe how big you’re getting and how fast you are learning and growing. We are so incredibly proud of you. When we are sitting on the floor now you always climb into my lap. You are the strongest little iggnacio that i know. In honor of you and all your greatness, here is a top ten list of little things I love about you at 7 months…
10. When you want me to pick you up from the floor, you grab my two hands and place them on your belly. I melt every time you do this, and yes, i will always pick you up.
9. Your little duck tail of hair on the back of your head is just edible.
8. The slight grunt you make when eating that you clearly inherited from your daddy. I like to listen to it when I’m feeding you in bed and it makes me feel all warm and yummy.
7. Your giggle. Simple as that. Your giggle. It is the best noise on the planet.
6. The way you go nutty in your jumparoo when your elmo dvd is on. You watch the same dvd everyday and manage to go equally as nutty for it each day. “This ole bat, he played one”.
5. When we sit on the floor to watch daddy, sissy and broham go out to the bathroom and you bang on the sliding door and smile at them from the bedroom every morning.
4. I love how you sip water from our cups and then blow bubbles in the water. You’re such a silly big girl.
3. The happy scream and shake you make when something excites you. You put both hands up and shake them as you let out the cutest scream I have ever heard.
2. When I am doing laundy you peek in the crack of the door with daddy, and when i turn around i just see one little eyeball and a big gummy grin…oh with two teefies of course.
1. Whenever we are all out you just go blah blah blah to everyone around and let them know Sophie has arrived. Never lose this fearless quality. You are absolutely amazing. I love you. Blah blah blah blah blah.
0. Waking up next to you every morning and hearing your little “oh” to let me know you’re up.
