Happy 43rd bday Dada!!!

Happy 43rd bday Dada!! My soulie for over 20 years turned 43 and I couldn’t be prouder or more in love with you than I am today. You are such an incredible person, father, husband, friend, soulie, and so on. I told you in your card but I’ll say it on here too. It sounds repetitive to write the same thing each year, but at the same time, it is genuinely true.

I love you Dada, father, tweeter, father fart goes to art, tweedle Dee, and luver. Happy to be spending all my years with you and so flippin thankful for it all. What a life we’ve created. What a life we live. It is all so perfectly imperfect and I wouldn’t change a thing. You are amazing. Lyaofwamhmtaff!

Another random pet encounter

Dada, Toobs and I were inside Continente food shopping and this little dog was running all over the store confused. People were petting it and the workers tried to shoo it out of the store but it kept coming back. I could see it had a collar and was obviously lost so when I saw no one was helping it I decided to pick it up and put it in our car. It turned out to be a she.

She was nervous but def comfortable with people. She came home and absolutely hated our dogs. I immediately started posting all over FB to try and find her owner and within 10 minutes her family was found! Apparently they had been searching and posting about her all day.

This had a much happier ending than the orange cat but what a weird way 2025 has started. First a random cat and within a week a random dog. Our animals must be a bit confused. Lulu was having none of that orange cat and Flower and Rusty felt the same about the dog. This lil trio are like the CR pet mafia.

We finished The Wild Robot! Now it’s movie time :)

After prob 1 or 2 months too long we finally finished The Wild Robot. Poor Toobs cried her eyes out at the end of the book and then sobbed even more at the end of the movie. For some reason when she gets emotional she gets embarrassed and then she gets angry. It is a fun chain of emotions. Anyway, she was bawling crying and just kept saying all angrily “I guess we’ll have to read the book all over again. I guess we’ll have to read the book all over again”. hahahaha poor Toobs. She was broken. She just kept repeating this because she didn’t know what else to do with her emotions and she was referring to Wild Robot 2 where supposedly Roz comes back.

RIP orange street cat

Oh the story of this strange little cat. For about a year we kept seeing it across the street and sometimes just sitting in the middle of the road. At first I thought maybe it was deaf or blind but then i noticed that it’s fur was all matted. Out of nowhere it began to just walk straight into our yard and up to our sliding door. Lulu was not happy about this and started to make noises that we didn’t even know she had inside her.

Anyways, I started feeding the orange cat and went on a mission to trap it to get it to the vet. Finally a few days after Xmas we succeeded! Unfortunately that trip to the vet was orange cat’s last trip. She (turned out to be a girl) was very sick and in pain. We decided to put her down since she had fiv and would have had to have her teeth pulled out. RIP orange cat, sorry your life was so hard but happy you found us and are out of pain. xoxo
