What an epic time we had hanging with my best bud for over 30 years and her little crew! My heart is so full looking at all these pics and I just love them all dearly. The kids were connected in an instant and stayed that way until the very last minute. Pretty sure the girls slept for two days straight after their buddies left. All signs of a good time. Blessed to have them all in our lives.
Man we have had a run of illness in this house. The girls had a snot/cough/fever virus on and off for nearly two weeks! Apparently half the school did too. Thankful that the day before their buddies from NY arrive they are sound asleep, fever free, no snot and no cough. Praise all! Time to party!
We took a quick little weekend trip to the city b/c Dada had a meeting (that turned out to be cancelled by email 10 minutes after we arrived in SJ (traveling for 6 hours). Momma messed up the ferry time so we arrived at 2pm for the ferry that left at 1pm- whoops. The next ferry wasn’t until 5pm so we drove another 1/2 hour to take a diff ferry that left at 4:30pm instead.
Since his meeting was canceled, our work based weekend turned into family fun weekend. We went to the playground, Sky Jump, an antique car show, the mall, make your own pizza place, rode bikes, skateboards, played soccer, ate ice cream, walked prob over 2 miles with the girls, and relaxed in our new gem of an airbnb. We’ll be doing it all over again next week when we leave to pick up Laura and family :). This time i’ll be sure to get the ferry time right, although truth be told our ferry mishap turned into a blast b/c the Naranjo ferry was empty and the girls had the whole upper deck to themselves with music…so yeah dance party central.
