Off to SJ to buy a car!

We left for SJ on Wednesday morning in search of a new truck and thankfully came home Sunday morning with a new set of wheels! While we were there hunting we managed to hit up a bunch of playgrounds, eat a ton of ice cream, noodies and pizza, go to the movies, toy stores and mall. Lets hope “Gerty” (our new car) makes it on these roads for a bit. The jungle already welcomed her this morning with a pile of bird poop. Gerty ain’t in the city no more. All hail for the automatic that momma can finally drive and dada can spend his days worrying im crashing it into a tree :). Here she is…pretty little kitty all fitted with a sunroof and A/C that actually works (for now).

Pookie turns 7!!!!

Our little unicorn turned 7 and when she woke up to see her bday decorations she went scurrying around the living room gathering things she hid under pillows and pulled out cards that she had made for us on HER birthday. Gah i love her! She is really something else.

All she wanted for her bday was to hang with her family and Ash, go surfing, do a treasure hunt and of course ziplining the day before. We held true to all her wishes and had an amazing birthday for an incredible little girl.

Art Contest!

Ash and the girls got supplies donated for the local schools and went around handing them out on thursday b/c they are going to host an art contest for the kids. Sabs is a big fan of Ash’s hat and i just want to squeeze her in it. Here are some pics ash sent.

Ziplining with Pookie and Ash!

For her 7th birthday gift, Ash got Sophie a ziplining adventure and i joined the whackos for some fun too. It was a blast to watch Sophie geek out and have no fear. She was cracking everyone up and had the time of her life. I made it through alive and for that i am happy. Sophie decided she wants to work there when she grows up and is already talking about “when i go ziplining again”. Big thanks to Ash for planning action packed, adventure filled girls morning for Pookie’s 7th :). Sophie said next stop…sky diving (insert my vomit here).

Momma at Pilates :)

They’re always taking pics to post on FB from pilates so i snagged a few for the girls to laugh at when they’re older :).

As i type this, the girls are playing barbies and Sophie said “What does your mom do?” and Sabi’s answer “Oh yoga”. hahahaha.

Whenever they play pretend the mom and dad are either running, at yoga, or boogie boarding and pilates. Im guessing b/c the only time we are away from them we are both doing one of those things.

Dada and Ash judge the Cobano High School Spelling Bee!

A few weeks ago when we were on the ferry back from SJ, Dada was talking to a lady in our town (in spanish) and her friend was listening and asked if he spoke english and when he said yes the man told him that he was the english teacher at the public HS in Cobano and asked if dada would judge their Spelling Bee in a couple of weeks. Today was that day.

We brought Ash along who also ended up judging and i happily video’d and hung with the girls. Sophie and Sabs were so good and Sophie really loved watching it all. The morning ran longer than any of us anticipated but was def one for the memory bank.

What a random and fun experience. The girls got to be around all the HS kids in the local school, we ate lunch in the cafeteria and then they danced their little butts off on the spelling bee stage. Oh and they also downed two snack bags of cheetohs each. Oh the randomness of it all…always what makes it the greatest :).

The kids baked us bread and apparently there is another gift coming our way. Here’s some pics/videos.
