Perfectly strange
These two comments happened yesterday and it got me to thinking how perfectly strange our life is.
“Remember the time I farted and gave you a hive?”. Yes while walking on the beautiful beach at sunset, Will turns to me and makes this statement which is 100% true. He ripped one in the car in Chicago that was so toxic it gave me a hive. While discussing this, Sophie is getting angry at a piece of Styrofoam she decided was a boat and it wouldn’t float to sea (b/c the tide was coming in) so she spent 15-20 min repeatedly putting it back in the wave and saying “DARN IT” every time it simply came back (all while standing at shore butt naked of course). Then she spotted tinkerbell and fireworks in the deep dark woods (aka someone’s house light).
After the beach we went to the store where i bumped into my friend Jenny who just had a baby about a month ago and after embracing she made this comment:
“I was weighing Ani at the fruit and vegetable store the other day and she was 8lbs. I turned to my husband and said can you believe she is still 2lbs smaller than Michelle’s baby was at birth!”. Now normally the weird part of that comment would be that i had a 10lb baby pop out of me. Yes that is weird in itself. But, what i find strange is that I thought it was totally normal that she weighed her baby at our fruit and vegetable store in town on the veggie scale. It wasn’t the normal “oh she weighed 7lbs at her 1 month check up”.
We already know that Sophie is a complete weirdo and I guess what I’m saying is…Sorry Sabi, you are destined to be a little bit off and that is perfectly strange. xoxo
2 Mos old! Where da party at?! Fetch me my milk please pool boy.
Rainy season river
Just a little video to show what our river looks like during rainy season since most of you visit during dry season. This is not very high but it is flowing enough that we didn’t cross it with 4 of us on a quad.
Rainy CR mornin
This morning we woke up to rain that lasted until about 1pm. We aren’t used to having to stay inside so long. I guess we all had a bunch on energy b/c once we did get out we ended up hiking our mega hill back home (pics in post below). Anyway, I was able to get a bunch of videos off my camera and on to the blog so that helped. Here are some pics from our rainy morning with our scary coconut, pooks in dada’s tank top, and Sabi’s face getting mushed like play dough.
