Well today was possibly our last check up before we meet you, and Dr. Paer said you were ummm rather large! I was hoping you would be a little smaller than your 9lb 1oz sis but the sono says you are already about 8 1/2lbs and we still have a little over 2 weeks to go until due date! Luckily other than ginorms, you are looking perfectly healthy and your head is down. In fact he said you are so low that your head is like a cork in my pelvis and I prob won’t even know when my water breaks b/c your head is plugging up all the space. Clearly this is why you are sending shooting pains down my inner thigh and lower back. You are also kindly kicking me in my ribs like a little mad woman. Sophie loved seeing you on the screen and has been talking about you all night. She is convinced you ate too many mangoes and this is why you are so large. She also said she can hear your heart beat in my belly and apparently you are in her belly too and kicking. We love you soooo much and peeing every 5 minutes, getting kicked in the ribs, feeling like i have a brick about to fall out of me…is all worth it in the end! So far you have only blessed me with 22 extra lbs so at least if you are as ginorms as they say, you will take most of this weight with you when you enter the world. Now please just come maybe a week earlier (no sooner) and 1 push or 2…i mean if you’re hanging that low for this long the least you can do is kindly slip out? pleeeeaaaaaaaaassssssssssse. We love you so much and are so excited to meet you!!!

The way to San Jose
Well, our 2nd time was a charm and we are now in San Jose and settled in! Crazy to think that in this very condo we’ll be bringing home little Sabi and heading back to ST a family a 4 (7 if you count our furry pack)! Charles is with us now and was a great traveler the whole trip. I think he was on best behavior b/c he hit the jackpot and didnt have to stay at the Vet like his sisters (lulu belle and betsy).
All travels went smooth this time around and everything at the condo is perfect. We are literally a 5 min walk from the hospital and also from Sophie’s favorite parks. Sophie made her very first solo transaction on the ferry and walked up to the counter all by herself with money, asked for her bottle of water, collected her change, and walked back to us with a big fat smile. She was so proud she wanted to do it again so we ended up sending her back for another bottle of water. Like always, little pooks was just the most incredible travel companion and kept us laughing the entire time. When we arrived at the condo she gave me a tour and then looked at me and said “this house is beautiful”. She is so easy about new places and people it just amazes me. She also clued me in on the best hiding spots she found in the condo within the first 15 minutes.
Here are some pics from our last journey to San Jose as a fam of 3 and I have a few videos to upload as well. Home stretch now!
Beautiful ENTIRE Rainbow This Morning!
After some huge storms last night, our dog woke us up unexpectedly because he was barking relentlessly. We let him outside and when we brought him back in noticed there was a huge rainbow beginning and ending right over our heads. The left side of the rainbow was a double rainbow.
We could only take video of the rainbow because our camera couldn’t zoom out far enough to take a still photo of the entire thing. Beautiful.
Costume of the morning…your guess is as good as mine?
Monumental Moment…Pooks let me put a clip in her hair. Baby steps.
36 Weeks!!
Happy Father’s Day!
In honor of Daddy’s day here is a little photo compilation from the past couple of months. Pictures tell a story and it is obvious from this little slideshow that our little Pooks has one of the best Dada’s in the universe! We are so proud and love you so much Dada! You truly are the most incredible dad and human being for that matter. You are fun, loving, intelligent, quirky, handy, creative, patient, and the beautiful thing is that this list can just go on in this fashion. You continue to amaze me and I just love you more each day. We are certain Sabi will feel the same. Happy Dada’s day! We love you more than words can ever express…Love. Momma, Pookie, Sabi, Charles, Betsy, and Lulu belle.

Just another day at the beach (yawn)
The weather has been so much nicer and we have def. been taking advantage of the cooler temps and beautiful beaches. Today was a very eventful beach day…we rescued an eel from being stuck in low tide (or so we’d like to think it made it), Pookie played the drums on the trees, Betsy went for a swim, treasures were found, and then we saw a ginormous Bob as we were leaving. Sophie said “Oh gosh, look”. It was def prehistoric looking.
