Momma’s Birthday!

I finally have my laptop back so here are some catch up posts from January! Here are some pics from my bday. Sophie decorated the cake (while eating pieces at the same time) and she did a fantastic job!  Her and daddy made me the sweetest card complete with sparkle glue and markers. My loves :). Daddy made my favorite vodka sauce and all i did was relax and make a salad. Of course daddy put trick candles on the cake which had Sophie blowing and blowing until finally she yelled “It’s not working. It’s bwoken!”. Haha.

San Jose

Well I’m waiting for my laptop to arrive with Nana today so i’ll upload everything from my camera this week. This is a pic I found on Will’s phone from San Jose a couple of weeks ago. Nugget in her favorite toy store :). I’ll update with some bday pics, and other pics from the past few weeks later on!

Sleeping beauty and the beast

Will snuck this photo with his phone the other morning. Clearly Sophie is the beauty and I am the beast. Grateful my husband is attracted to me after waking up next to that in the morning. Regardless, what a precious moment and one that i know i will miss years down the line so I take one for the team and post it.

Sophie’s first beach party bonfire

Tonight we took you to JuanCarlos’s birthday party on the beach. You ran around and played with some little kids kicking sand and collecting coconuts. At sunset they lit a huge bonfire and you were completely amazed until you realized there was no cake after we sang happy birthday (they smashed it into the birthday boy’s face) and decide that you wanted to have your own birthday party at home. We left a little after sunset, came home, made a bowl of ice cream and sparklies, put a candle in it, and sang you Happy Birthday!

Our little potty peeing swimming fishy!

Today you woke up, pulled your diaper off and sat your little booty on the potty to pee!! You rock! Then we were all at the beach swimming in the tide pool and you wanted your floatie off and then started swimming all on your own!! You were so proud (as were we) and we ended up staying in the ocean for 3 hours watching you navigate your little feet into a kicking swim mode! You are 2 1/2 and swimming w/o lessons or any coaxing. You are a beast! We love you and are so incredibly proud of you. You continue to amaze us each day!

Minnie Golf

Note to self: Do not tell a Disney obsessed toddler that she is going to go mini golf.

Sophie had a blast the first 5-6 holes and then spent the rest of the time searching for Minnie golfing. When she didnt see Minnie she got desperate and started searching for Mickey (b/c of course where there is mickey there is minnie). Anyway, i have no idea why it didnt occur to us that the term Mini Golf would translate into Minnie Golf for Sophie. Woops. From now on we are referring to the game as Put Put and that should do the trick.

Here are some blurry pics nonetheless.

It’s Winnnnyy (aka windy)

Here’s a pic from San Jose on a “winnny day” as Sophie would call it. We have been home and settled back into Santa T since Tuesday. Our travels back were smooth and uneventful. We picked up the animal clan and they’re all doing great. Betsy was back at the beach yesterday and went for a nice long walk with me on a beautiful morning while Sophie and daddy played in the ocean. Today our baby pool is finally back in action so Sophie can go nutty in there again. This morning Sophie and I made banana bread which i called Birthday cake the entire time so now she calls it banana cake. She’s already had two pieces (chubbo). That’s about it. All is good. Life is good. Nana is coming in two weeks! Our very first visitor of 2013 :). XOXO
