Mimi came this week – yay!! We just hung out at the house because it was so cold out and poor little iggs has 4 teeth coming in. She was pretty mizzy the first day and had a big case of the mommy’s in general, but today she is muuuuuuch better and back to her fun loving iggtastic self! While Mimi was here little iggy had her first waffle, her first medication ever (infant ibuprofen and Camilia which is a homeopathic teething reliever), and her first yogurt. She has now eaten several waffles, greek yogurt, vanilla yogurt, and peach yogurt. She likes them all!  Hopefully these teeth make their entrance quietly now, and our little angel can have some relief. I guess teething pain is like labor, your mind blocks it out because it is so awful. I can’t remember teething and from the behavior of little iggs, I’m glad. Poor little nugget woke up Sat. morning feeling hot, hot, hot. We took her temp and it was 102.9. After a nice bath with daddy her temp came down, but our little angel was super tired and just not feeling great at all. It only took a day to kick it so we’re not sure what exactly caused it, but our little trooper is back in action. She has two top teeth that are going to be in any day now so maybe that spiked a bit of a fever. On a happier note, Iggs is now eating blueberries, blackberries and had her first piece of pasta. She is so amazing. Iggs I’m so glad you are feeling yourself again, mommy and daddy can’t stand seeing you not feeling good. It literally makes my stomach ache! Iggs loves bath time. She has all these fun toys that her daddy takes out for her every night, yet her favorite toy is the empty Aveeno bottle, her wet washcloth, and the faucet that she now knows how to turn on and off…oh iggs…only iggs. Here she is looking sudsy iggtastic and turning on the faucet.

It was finally not freezing so we all headed out for a walk today. We should have thought it through more considering Chicago had a massive blizzard a week ago and it is now above freezing (aka melted dirty city slush everywhere). Our walk only last about 3 blocks before Charles was black, Betsy was a muddy mess, the stroller wheels were  full of muddy slush, and everyone needed a shower. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
