Below is a video we made before heading out to Alexis and Maritza’s NYE party. The party was at Maritza’s brother in law’s house and it was one of our favorite NYE to date! They had family, food, music, fireworks, and dancing galore…oh and of course a pinata! I think every single family member from all over Costa Rica showed up for the party. It was def. the most happening party on the block. There were people of all ages and only one person spoke english so we kicked off 2012 really sharpening up on our spanish skills. Sophie fell asleep about an hour after we arrived and slept through all the noise and people until we went to leave at 10:30 and she woke up in the car on the way home- lol. She stayed up through the New Year and we all slept in late on New Years day. The Ticos really know how to throw a party and we were so thankful we went and got to share the holiday with them. Their entire family was so gracious and fun, I wish i had free hands to get some video and pics but i had a sleeping log laying on me for most of the night so we’ll just have to store it in the memory bank.
