Back to her ole stomping grounds after 2 weeks (heat then sick lil pookie)

We finally made it back to the beach after a bit of a heat wave and then little nugget coming down with a fever then cold. She was so excited to swim in the ocean again and just started running like a little jungle monkey as soon as she hit the sand. She met a little friend named Zoe who was about 2 years older and was just so sweet playing with Sophie. Im pretty sure Sophie had her first girl crush after she witnessed Zoe jumping off rocks into the tide pools. She would jump right next to Sophie so the water would splash on her and Sophie’s eyes just lit up. For that moment Zoe was the coolest person on the planet and Sophie’s face confirmed it all. After about an hour swimming, they played in a little hut together and we headed home for dinner. We are so blessed to have beach sunsets and it was refreshing to get back down there again after the nice rains the past few days.

Pookie’s strange Ho-Ho game and actress faces

Little pooks made up this weirdo game (as usual) where she puts my Xmas socks on her hands and pretends she is Santa (Ho-Ho as she calls him). She then finds surprises around the house and hands them out as gifts. Following that in this video is another quirky game where she makes her actress faces. She has mastered Mad, Scared, and Happy. Love this little wackadoo!!

Bedtime Routine

Every night before wind down time you like to get your flashlight, hop on daddy’s shoulders and go let the dogs out and look for “leapa” frogs and bugs. This is what you two look like. It is hilarious. When you’re done you run in and tell me all the creatures you saw and about all the stars in the sky. Then we take a baby flashlight and make scary shadows on the wall. You’re getting good at making the crocodile with your hands. xoxo
