Oh i love these two!

They are so individually hilarious that I had to watch this twice. First time I watched Sabs, and second time I watched Pooks. I love Sabs move at the end when she slams her foot down like Elsa to make ice (you hear me say oooh ice) and then does this special back up move like she is being blown by an icy wind. We had to cut the video short b/c Pooks was bothered that Woe woe (bow, bow woe, flower, flo bo) nipped her when she was down (teething obviously, not malicious).

Post puke video

This is after 7 hours of driving when Pooks and I were waiting in the parking lot for dada and Sabs to come out of the store after buying car cleaner and wipes to sanitize the puke mobile. Pookie put on the video without telling me so we just chatted into it. Pretty uneventful but there isn’t much video of me so one day this will be watched and cherished for more than it is. :). Love you always peanut!

Ballerina Pook

These videos may seem a little redundant, however the look in little Pookie’s eyes is anything but redundant. She isn’t in a kitchen having her momma video her. She is on a stage, full of lights, in a fairy tale fit for only the finest ballerinas. Or perhaps she is in an enchanted forest with sweet fuzzy animals that can speak? Wherever she is, it is a wonderland. May she always dream big and transform her surroundings into the magic that is Sophie. Shine bright lil one.

Daily makeup tutorial (pretend youtube video) by Pooks

Here she is again pretending she has a youtube channel with a bunch of viewers who come to see her princess makeup tutorial videos. She is a rare one and this is def. a favorite pastime around these parts nowadays. Sweet Sabs is getting in on the action now too!

And here is one I didn’t upload from the other day when she was doing an animal for her audience. Again, she forgot her mirror so we had to start over :).

Dia de los ninos! Celebrating children’s day at school!

Today all the parents surprised the kids at lunch time and showed up with a potluck lunch, games, and a trip to the beach together. Sophie knew we were coming but she kept it a secret from the other kiddos. She told me not to worry because she never talks about the parents with the other kids so she won’t slip up.

She was so excited to go back to school and see her teacher Ashley on wednesday. She ran up the hill with her little backpack on and ran into the school all by herself. Ashley made them a special cake for Children’s day and she also handmade a pinata for the kids (super impressive). It was a relaxing and fun day spent together.

When we were heading down to the beach both Sabs and Sophie ran to go on Ashley’s quad. That’s right, they both ditched me. Will had the car so he drove, I rode the quad all by my lonesome, and the little runts crammed onto Ashley’s quad together. On the drive to the beach a family of horses was trotting along side us the entire way. There were two babies with them. It was awesome! I took a quick video and some pics but i was driving the quad so they aren’t the greatest.

The kids all played in the ocean and Sabi didn’t let Ashley put her down the entire time. She cried when i had to pry her away from Ashley’s arms to go home. Don’t think i’ll have a problem when it comes time to send that one to school :).

It was an awesome day celebrating a bunch of awesome kids!

Out and about in SJ

We really only stayed one full day but we were out and about the entire time. We went to the multiplaza to look for some running shoes for Will (he scored a pair for 50% off from North face) and play in the toy stores for the girls. We walked to McD both mornings and had a coffee while the girls played in the playground. We went out to a super nice dinner at one of our favorite Italian restaurants, and it was yum! Hmmm, what else…night swimming at the hotel, dancing in the rain, and a trip to the bookstore for Pooks who picked out some fun new books! We didnt accomplish anything we were supposed to do but we def conquered the fun factor! The ride home was thankfully much less eventful. No one puked and the ferry was fairly empty.I think it took us 5 hours but I can’t remember b/c I didnt time it. Loads of fun as always!!

San Jose for the weekend!

Well we took a quick trip to San Jose with plans to renew Pookie’s passport that is about to expire. Unfortunately we didnt realize that we would need her birth certificate for a renewal so we will be making another quick trip in about a week or so, haha! Regardless, it was a fun little weekend full of adventure as usual.

We planned to take the 2pm ferry on Sunday. We got to the ferry 20 minutes early to find that everyone else in town planned to take the 2pm ferry as well. It was full. LLENO. No more room and the car line was wrapped around the corner waiting for the 5pm ferry. Yes, they were all parked and sitting there for three hours to wait for the next ferry. This was not an option for us since the lil ones would be bored out of their minds and in turn undoubtedly cause us to lose our minds. So we opted to drive the long way there, or as Sophie calls it, the curly road (b/c it is windy and typically someone ends up puking.

The drive was mostly uneventful and fun for the first half. We got to our ice cream shop stop and everyone jumped out to get their ice cream and enjoy a quick 20 minute break from the car. Sophie got cotton candy and cake flavored ice cream. She thought is was delicious, it was vile. Little did we know it was not nearly as vile as it was about to be coming back out in the form of projectile vomit 45 minutes later. Vomit was EVERYWHERE. It was  bright blue with chunks floating in it. It was on my bag, on the seat, dripping into the car seat, all over her clothes, down her undies, on the floor, seriously i think the only thing that managed to escape it was her hair. Amazingly she was really upbeat about the puke sitch. When she was done vomiting (for the first time) all she said was, “See Dada, next time mommy is going to drive. I told you that you were going to make me puke”. We pulled over and shoved all puke items into a plastic bag, Watered down and changed little Pooks and went back on our way in our freshly scented puke mobile. It took about 20 minutes of driving and round two hit. This time i was much more prepared with an emptied out tupperware (aka the puke bin). She contained all of it into the bin (which was later chucked out at the hotel b/c the scent just wouldn’t leave after excessive cleaning, and quite honestly anytime i would have gone to use it i would have thought of puke).

After all the puke episodes we got stuck in about an hours worth of traffic. Bumper to bumper traffic inside the puke mobile. I have no idea how everyone remained in such good spirits and thank goodness for that b/c vile puke stench, bad attitudes, and bumper to bumper traffic would probably be an ugly trio.

Alas, we arrived all smiles and the girls favorite lady, Lisette, was there waiting with a big hug! She also surprised the girls and left little toys on the bed in our hotel room for them :). Everyone showered, Will depuked the car, we ordered some dinner, snuggled and watched a movie. The total travel time was over 7 hours. It could be a record for longest San Jose drive. All part of the adventure, and still super fun! Here are some pics of the girls in the car (pre puke)

And the ice cream that did her in…

Pooks and Dada go SUP with Pookie’s class!

Fun friday is back at school and this week all the kids (plus two dads) went stand up paddling down a river in Manzanillo. Lil Pookie was so excited to see her teacher and go on the big board! She woke up at 7:05 am and we were all out the door by 7:20am.

She made a special card that she couldnt wait to give Ashley which said “I love Ashley’s school”. She did this all on her own and just asked me to tell her how to spell it all. When she ran up to give it to Ashley, a 12yr old boy named Grayden was standing next to her and so sweetly exclaimed “Wow Sophie, this is awesome. Give me a high five. You did this all by yourself? Great Job!”. Ugh i melted into a big fat puddle in an instant. What an adorable, encouraging, sweet kid. I just love all the positivity this school surrounds her with. Ashley told me later in the day that during art class Grayden switched seats so that he could sit next to Sophie, and his younger brother Dillion commented on how sweet Sophie was because she told him that his painting of a tiger was awesome. She said Sophie slid right into the class “like a stick of butter” and they all adore her. She has one little girl she needs to win over b/c she is jealous of the attention that Sophie is getting (she was previously the youngest in the class and got all the cute attention). I saw glimpses of the jealousy during stand up paddle, and Ashley and I laughed b/c Sophie was not paying any mind to it and just kept trying to get the girl to play with her. She will win her over in no time.

It was another magnificent day at school and Pooks is absolutely loving it all! I hung out with sweet Sabs while they all paddled down the river and we had a blast jumping off logs, splashing in the ocean, searching for crabs, and enjoying some mommy and me time. Oooh i love these little runts! When they all got back from paddling, Sabs took a ride on the board with Dada and loved it too! Guess we have a new past time we may need to explore :).

PS (Ashley was the only one to fall off the board. She was telling me for days how her boyfriend showed her videos of ppl SUP in a river and there were crocodiles and gross river creatures. She was majorly creeped out but determined to try. She was the only one to plunk into the river. She went fully under. Will said she popped out so fast it looked like there was a dynamite under her butt. I didn’t get to see it b/c they were already down into the jungle, but the replay i have created in my mind has me laughing each time. She is so the type that would have that happen to her. I bet her boyfriend was cracking up when she got home and told him the story. Poor Ash).
