Hello Morocco!

We arrived in Morocco and Sabi was a bit off…turned out later that day she had fever, stuffy/runny nose, and headache. We took it easy and just went to grab some dinner and came home early. The girls and I were passed out by 7pm i think and slept through until 930am today. Sabi got up around 10 something and luckily is so much better than yesterday! Thank goodness b/c tomorrow we are supposed to be heading off for our camping adventure. We almost thought we were going to have to cancel but as of now if she stays as is and continues on the up and up as the day goes on, it will be looking good.

We’re going to take it easy and just walk around a little later this afternoon. Dada has a headache too and is still feeling jet lag. Sophie and I seem to be pulling strong still and hopefully will stay this way! Sophie was a mega champ yesterday on 2 hours sleep. She def gets the award for toughing it out!

At least the downtime gave me a bit to catch up here and work on a few other things! Hoping everyone starts feeling 100% this week and this jet lag disappears for good!

On our walk yesterday they started playing the prayer over speakers in the town. Watching their little faces was priceless. Morocco is full of cats – Sabi’s dream, Will’s nightmare. Sophie seems to love Morocco so far and is so into all the old world charm and learning about the language, etc. Sabi says she is not a fan of “the food from this world” and at first was not impressed by our amazing riad (house) which is actually super cool but she was concerned it didn’t have electricity…it does. She has since then settled in and is only complaining about the food. Her croissant didnt have enough chocolate in it this morning and her pancakes (crepes) were served with jam instead of syrup, oh and her orange juice “had hairs in it” (pulp)…Sabi problems.

Oh and we have i guess what you’d call a butler who did our laundry and cooks, etc. Sabi is not a fan of having someone in the house and keeps asking when he’s going to leave. Hahaha. He happens to be so sweet and Sophie really likes chatting with him b/c he does little tricks for her and is trying to teach her some french. He doesnt speak any english, or spanish…so it is french or arabic (apparently i spelled that wrong). We have an entire house that has 3 floors. It is so beautiful. I’ll walk around and take some pics today b/c yesterday i was too exhausted.

Last Day Copenhagen!

Today we switched Airbnb’s so that we’ll be close to the airport for our early flight tomorrow. We went to the Aquarium where Sabsy finally got to meet the sea otter from her book- it was amazing. Her little face omg. Before that we picked up some lunch and later on we just went back to the airbnb where i made a quick dinner and we attempted to get to bed early. Epic fail. We all ended up staying awake until 2:30am!!! Our flight was at 6am and it was international which meant we had to leave at 4am. Yup, 1 hour sleep.

Dada woke us all up at 3:30am. We gathered our things, got dressed, and then walked 15 minutes in the dark (cold dark) with our luggage to the airport. At least the stars were out and Sophie was mesmerized with the fact that she could breathe smoke. The airport was a bit of a mad house but we made it to our flight and Sabsy conked out for the next 4 hours on the plane. Sophie, WIll and I maybe slept an hour. What a travel day- yikes.

Day 3 Copenhagen!

Today we rode bikes, explored the walking street, went to a playground, ate some yummy pizza, rode the bus home and stopped at a cafe to make some roasted marshmallows. Yumm-o!! Another fun filled day that started at like 2pm because again we were all unable to go to sleep the night before and stayed up until about 3am. Oyyy.

Also Sabsy found a street musician she loved and wanted to stand there all day watching him. She said we should go ask him his name. He sounded a bit like Ed Sheeren (her favorite singer). I think we’re going to have a little groupie on our hands. I took a video for her and she told me she is going to watch it over and over. Here is it:

Day 2- Copenhagen :)

We are officially still jet lagged. The girls woke up at 1pm. We were watching a movie at 3:30am. Pretty sure we went to sleep somewhere around 5am. Whew. So needless to say, today got off to late start.

We rode the bus to an indoor kids playground b/c the weather was a bit gloomy. Then we took a train to the most amazing Nepalese restaurant where Momma and Dada feasted and the girls basically watched and starved.

After that, we stopped by the grocery store to pick up some dinner for the girls and headed home on the bus at about 10pm. The girls had their dinner at about 10:30pm and when all was said and done we were lights out by 1am.

Right now it is 9:30am and i’ve been up for an hour…i’m the only one. Let’s see what today brings!

First full day exploring Copenhagen!

Yesterday was our first full day to explore and we walked for miles! First stop was a yummy cafe where we picked up some treats to keep the girls busy while walking. Then we just walked and walked finding cool things along way. It was beautiful! So far i love this city. It is super clean, sooooo much green space everywhere, people working out all over, families riding bikes, bakeries, cafes, etc. It was warmer than yesterday and actually super nice until about 6pm when we started freezing and quickly searched for a restaurant to dodge into.

On the way home we stopped at the grocery store and picked up some treats for our big movie night. We told the girls they can pick out a few things with one rule…it must be something they’ve never tried. They were so excited (especially Sabs) and we stocked up on some chocolate cookies, wafers, licorice looking things and caramel chocolates. Dada set up Witches on the movie screen and the long awaited movie began. Solid first day!

We are still jet lagged. We were all up until about 4am. It is now 2pm the next day and the girls just woke up. We’ll figure this out soon hopefully.

Euro trip part 3- Copenhagen!

Wohoo!!!! We arrived in Copenhagen! Dada had his own row on the plane (until Sophie crashed it and conked out). The flight was an hour shorter than expected- thanks to tail winds. Customs was a breeze, and the airbnb is awesome! We arrived around 2pm, got settled in to the airbnb, walked to the grocery store and stocked up on some essentials. Momma made broccoli soup (a must have in every country), dada set up the movie screen and played some board games with the girls, and the lil rabbits found the bunk beds. Jet lag has set in.

Florida- 2nd leg of the trip

Hello US! Made it to Florida easy peasy and checked in to another successful airbnb. We completed our mission of getting sneakers for Pookie, leggings for both girls, some good take out, and Momma and Dada home workout  to hopefully keep us in shape throughout our travels. It was a short 1 1/2 day stay and we did it all. Next stop- Denmark!

San Jose- First leg of the Euro adventure and 23 week check up for Maru!

Well the trip has officially begun! We started off at an airbnb in SJ, followed by one night in a hotel. We had our 23 week dr. appt for Maru and she looks perfect! She is moving like a little mad woman and is breech and transverse (keep on moving Maru). The dr. said that is totally normal at 23 weeks and she should be turning around shortly.

We saw her little hand, foot, face (briefly), and ear. Eeek so exciting! Pookie finally got her moto helmet in Cobano. Dada attempted to open another bank acct in SJ with no luck. Sabs got her candy store treats, and we ate at our favorite italian restaurant. Good start to a fun adventure!
