Goodbye Porto, hello Lisbon

We left on a 2hr 40min train ride and headed over to Lisbon. All went smooth and train was super nice (except we got backwards facing seats which was a little sickening so will be searching for front facing tickets this time around).

We got to Lisbon in the afternoon and just explored the neighborhood where the girls made a little buddy from Scotland and played until the sun set. We were all a bit tired (basically momma and dada) and I finally caught the nasal thingy they all had so we decided to just order in (uber eats) and settle down for the night. We found an awesome indian takeout and Sabs ordered her favorite Indian food – french fries. Sissy ate some lentil soup, veggie samosas, and the peas out of all our dishes. Yumm-o.

Today we’ll be hitting the town for a full day of exploring. I love the neighborhood we’re in so im excited to see what all is around us. Tomorrow we head by train to a new town called Faro where we will just spend one night before heading to Spain :).

On to Lisbon:

Exploring Porto!

What a beautiful day in a beautiful city! We just walked and walked and bumped into the most fun things! We saw an invisible man, a woman statue, a man statue, a guy jump off the bridge into freezing cold water, a clock that had animated figures and played music over the street, a super fun walking street where we all tried roasted chestnuts for the first time, the best food we have had in weeks, and tons of gorgeous views! Ahhh, what an incredible first day in Portugal! We ended it with a dinner at home including a delicious salad for momma and dada and loads of broccoli soup for the lil rugrats. Sabi ate the most she has eaten in weeks…she def made up for her lost meals yesterday. The little rat downed waffles, bananas, strawberries, eggs, avocados, 3 bowls broccoli soup, oranges, chocolate croissant, and a lime ice pop. Off to do it all again today :).

Morocco in no particular order from Marrekech to the Valle de Roses

After exploring Marrekech we headed off on a road trip to the desert. Our first stop to sleep was an area called Valle de Roses. It was one of my favorite we visited in Morocco and we had so much fun just chillin at the airbnb. We played an intense game of slapjack that Sabsy almost won and had an incredible dinner at night.

We were all exhausted from about 5 plus hours in the car so it was nice to relax and hang. The views were beautiful and we got to see a double rainbow. There were cats galore and the shower was nice and hot. Def a good place to relax before the second half of our journey!
