Bye Bye CPH…Hello Madrid (renamed Ma-dread by all of us)

Sheesh what a battle it has been. First the girls got sick, and Toobie and I were on and off sick, then Will got the mother of all viruses and was laid out with 103 fever. We all had some sort of version of a flu and then got better just in time to fly to Madrid but were so exhausted. It was mayhem leaving and packing last minute because no one had energy beforehand.

Thankfully we are all back in CR now and made it through the journey but along the way we nicknamed Madrid – Ma dread because we were stuck inside an apt feeling crappy the entire time and then when we went out the city looked dreary and grey. Maybe it is because we felt dreary and grey but i dont think any of us are in a rush to go back and find out. Sorry Madrid – checking you off the list for now.

Sissy’s first day of basketball camp!

Sissy did it…she went off to basketball camp in a new country, not in her language, and all by herself! She went with zero hesitation and had her first full day off without any of us around. Sabsy sadly was home sick and ended up missing out on the basketball camp days but said she is def going next time. Sophie made 2 girl buds that she hung out with every day and had the most amazing time! She learned some new danish words, tried a new danish soda that her friends bought her, and the director of the camp commented on how adjusted she was from the first day and how she just went on in there and socialized. So proud of how confident, independent, and adventurous her little spirit is to go off and try something so foreign all on her own. I was def not that cool at 9 years old.
