Rainy CR mornin

This morning we woke up to rain that lasted until about 1pm. We aren’t used to having to stay inside so long. I guess we all had a bunch on energy b/c once we did get out we ended up hiking our mega hill back home (pics in post below). Anyway, I was able to get a bunch of videos off my camera and on to the blog so that helped. Here are some pics from our rainy morning with our scary coconut, pooks in dada’s tank top, and Sabi’s face getting mushed like play dough.

Go girls go!

Sabi took her very first hike up our massive mountain today with Pooks and Mommy! That’s right…the three girls hiked from the bottom by the river all the way up to our front door. Sabi slept the entire time in the baby carrier and Pooks was pretending we were Hansel and Gretel and the witch was trying to get us. That was the scenario up the entire mountain until we reached our front gate and Pooks decided I was Sleeping Beauty and she found my Kingdom for me (aka our house). Dada had to ride the quad up so he stopped along the way and took some pics. Here are some pics from along the way. It was actually cool out today since it rained all morning.

It’s these moments…

Last night we were winding down and you both were cuddled up against me on opposite sides like little tree frogs. We told scary stories about the adventures of Princess Sophia and her sissy Princess Sabi. They were trapped in a high tower by the wicked witch and luckily a dragon bird came to save them with a fishing pole (pooks added this detail). After our stories mommy and pooks sang “Twinkle Stars” to Sabs and pooks tickled her back to  help her sleep. We wrapped up with Mommy’s goodnight tradition song:

“Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep little Pookie.

Say goodnight and sleep tight cuz your mommy loves you so.

Goodnight little pookie, little pookie goodnight.

Sleep tight little Pookie, little Pookie sleep tight”

Then repeat it all with Sabi. Then repeat it all with Babies for a united song. Then repeat just humming if they are still awake (and i wonder why i can’t stay up later than these two).

You both zonked out against me and I just laid there staring back and forth at your two little beautiful faces for the next 1/2 hour. You are the most incredible little beings. I snapped this pic after strategically getting up from the middle. Now if only i could bottle up that feeling forever.

Beach morn

Today was one of those perfect beach days! The sky was bright blue, sun was shining, breeze was blowing, water was crystal clear, sabs was zonked on me in her baby carrier, a monkey family was hanging out in the tree above us, waves were small and perfect for a pooks body surf session…it just doesn’t get any better. Oh and Pooks brought Captain hook along for the fun (as you can see tucked into her bikini bottom) and we found a sand dollar (or a magic wish according to Pooks). Lastly, did Pooks hair grow overnight?
