We picked up our organic box yesterday so I made one of our favorite breakfast this morning with our fresh tomatoes, oranges, lettuce, strawberries, and avocado. All plates were licked clean as usual.

Our first 6.5 earthquake!
Last night we were all eating pizza and salad and out of no where everything started shaking. Immediately your daddy and I got up, swooped you out of your booster and headed outside. It was slightly terrifying, especially because the power went out and it was pitch black outside but we all did well and you had no clue. As soon as we got outside you saw the neighbor’s cat named Pizza (ironic) on the roof and all you cared about was catching and petting the “baby”. One thing we adjusted from this run through is to leave the flashlights right next to the front door so we can grab them on the way out if ever needed. Luckily no one was injured, no damage was done, and we came back inside to finish our pizza 🙂
My girly tomboy
You love getting your nails and toenails polished while watching Dino Dan and scary movies like Alien. You are such a perfect mix of your daddy and I. xoxo

Homemade Cookies :)
Today was a rainy, rainy day so we all hopped on the quad in the rain (Sophie fell asleep- on the quad, in the rain) and picked up all the necessities for some homemade chocolate chip cookies. Sophie loved helping put the flour in, crack the eggs (she calls them eyes when they are cracked b/c they look like two eyeballs), and of course put in (and eat) the choc chips. Below are pics. Last night before bed Daddy yelled in from the kitchen “Momma, you want a cookie” and i said no because I already brushed my teeth. Not even two minutes later Sophie hopped off the bed and said “Go get dada”. She then ditched me, walked out into the kitchen and said “Dada, Cook-a”. He broke off a small piece and handed it to her and she pulled her hand away and said “No dada, biiiiiiiig cook-a (meaning give me the whole cookie punk)”. Maybe that is why she was up until 11pm last night :).
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Lately you have been wanting to read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and when I am reading it to you, you like to pretend you are eating the food in the book and you even share some of your fake food with me. Since you are into the book and we had an empty egg crate, i thought it would be fun to do a family caterpillar craft. You and daddy willingly sat next to me, and basically that is all you did while i created my caterpillar, you drew on yourself, and then daddy colored his egg crate and helped you make a smiley face on your belly. Maybe it was a little early for craft projects? Below are our finish products…
No Touch Spindle!
The last few nights before bed we have all cuddled and watched Sleeping Beauty. You are more entertaining than the movie itself. You get very into it and scream “No touch spingle (spindle), “Go, Go, Go”, “Get Princess, Go Castle”. It is so adorable. We even let you stay up until 11pm last night b/c you were so entertaining (which is why you are still sleeping now @ 9am). I dont know what it is about this movie but you absolutely love it. Here is a pic of you cuddling with Dada and watching.
