First full day in SJ!

Well we got a slow start today since we all (mainly momma and dada) had a car/packing hangover from the last few days. We thought we were going to get our tree today but then decided to make a quick stop to get Dada to the barber shop for a shave and that turned into it’s own day of festivities.

First off the barber shop was like a spa. I wish i had a beard. He got a beer when he walked in, more lotions on his face than i own, essential oils, both hot and cold towels and a massage. Yup! If it wasn’t for the fact that he never does anything for himself, I would be jealous, but it is fun watching him get pampered mainly bc he feels so uncomfortable about it- haha!

After his spa treatment we found all these free activities for the kids at the mall (and this was wasn’t even the big mall). San Jose seriously does it up for the kiddos at Xmas. The girls got to decorate cookies at one station, make their own slime at another, and build a xmas house at a third. They also had Santa for pictures, a little petting zoo, and pony rides…all for free! We ended up staying until the sun went down and then eating dinner close to 9pm. It was all worth not getting a tree and going to bed late. Today will be tree day…unless something else comes up.

35 1/2 weeks Maru…feeling largggggeee. Can’t wait to check in on you tomorrow at Dr. Paer! You have the hiccups all the time. You are moving constantly and super strong. Im currently doing the 9 month waddle when I walk and not fully enjoying my coffee for some reason. We’re so excited to meet you little rabbit! Below is why I dont have someone Sabi’s height taking my pic when pregnant…guess i should put my hand under my belly to define it more next time 🙂

On our way to SJ!

Finally, the house in MP is packed away and we are off to the next step- XMAS in SJ!! We missed the ferry and had to drive the long way. The long way was extra long and we ended up not getting into SJ until about 5:30pm. We left MP at 9:15am. Along the way we did our stop for lunch at Tres Hermanas a side of the road pee stop, and then the ice cream stop at Pops…other than that it was drive, drive, drive!

Thankfully kids are pros and used to this trip so they were easy peasy, no ipads, no one got car sick and we listened to Xmas music the whole way.

The airbnb was easy to set up and settle into since we’ve been here before and now we’re ready to get the Xmas festivities going!
